Merry Christmas

Well, I'm here in Albuquerque patiently waiting for the turkey to be finished. My aunt is making mased potatoes right now and my job will be to finish the salad. We got in around 2 a.m. last night. The last hour of driving was hard. I was really tired. I could have had Josh drive, but he'll drive on the way home tomorrow. We actually had a few snowflakes falling when we left last night. The Christmas Eve Mass was really wonderful. We actually had a very packed Church. It was awesome. I did get my voice back so I could sing.

I got up around 8:45 this morning and by 9:30 Josh was chomping at the bit to open his presents. He didn't get much in the way of packages because he said he wanted cash. I gave him a DVD (Pirates of the Caribbean) and a book (Next by Michael Crichton) and then a $100 bill. He also got $50 from my dad and $50 from my aunt so he has more money than me!

I got $100 from my dad, a bottle of wine, bookstore card & game from my friend Kirsten, and my aunt gave me a new set of pots & pans which I've really been needing.

We may be leaving tomorrow but I'm not sure yet. I was hoping to get to see my friend Bret & his wife while they're in town, but may not be able to. I found out too late that they had a thing on Saturday afternoon for friends. He posted information about it on his blog but I didn't read it until 11:00 that night. I was hoping he would have called or something. I've emailed him and he still hasn't responded. Oh well. I guess I can't do anything about it.

Well, I better go make the salad. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas!
