It always happens... as soon as I say nothing exciting is going on, life is good, or blah, blah, blah it's inevitable that something happens. One of these days I really need to learn to keep my mouth shut. O.k. it's not major, life chaning stuff, but something that's going to cost some money it seems. I think I'm going to have to get a new water heater. The hot water level seems to be dropping rapidly and dad thinks it could be either that it's scaled up (meaning I need a new water heater) or an element is out (cheaper fix). I'm hoping it's the latter, but have a feeling it's the former. And you know what happens when I have a feeling... I'm usually right.
Well, time to go balance the checkbook and see how much is left.

I call this phenomenon "Tempting the Fates." It never fails does it? Seems as soon as you voice to the universe that you're happy, or everything is going well, or you finally have $10 extra, BAM! Out of now where the garbage truck of life backs up to your front door and unloads.
