Just when you think things are going o.k.

My refrigerator is broken. It's not the compressor because the freezer side of it is just fine. It has something to do with air not getting blown in from the freezer, but other than that, I have no idea. I hope my brother can come at some point and take a look at it. I started noticing it last night as my coke wasn't as cold as I thought it should be. I turned the "cool" knob up just to see if that fixed it. It didn't. Josh made cereal this morning and said that the milk was warm. I figured I had to do something so I don't lose all the groceries I just bought yesterday. I went to Walmart and got an ice chest and some bags of ice. I came home and put the stuff that I needed to keep in it. Now I should clean out the rest of the stuff that I can get rid of. I would, but I'm too hot right now. I also got some weed killer for the jungle in my driveway (yes, driveway) and I spent at 20 minutes outside spraying the weeds. I finally gave in and turned on all the air conditioners in the house. (You remember that I don't have central air like most normal folks) I also have to replace Josh's shower head at some point and give the dogs a bath. But I'm thinking it's just going to have to wait until the house is cooler because I'm actually quite miserable right now. I've decided that I don't care what my electricity bill is going to be. (o.k. I do care, but when your miserable, some things have to give.) And that's my day so far. How's yours?

I hate that about your fridge. I loved your Harry Potter posts. It made me want to run out and buy the new book right away. I now the feeling about trying to keep bills down. I keep my thermostat set on 81 the days in anticipation of a lowered bill. I do turn it down at night to 75 though. I hope you are okay and enjoying the cool air. Take care, my friend.

This day was mixed and I think I'd like to have some parts of it just erased.

Ditto what Mago said.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time of it with the fridge. Can you swing a new one?

I don't know if I'm going to need to buy a new fridge yet. I need to have it looked at first. I don't think it is that old. My dad may have one I could borrow and in the meantime I'll bring home my mini-fridge from school.
