It's been a long day. We left at 7:45 and got to the school shortly after 8:00. I had a not so great donut for breakfast. I had to judge Dramatic at 8:30 this morning. To answer Mago's question, my students are competing in a National speech tournament. I turned in my ballot after the round, had about a 45 minute break before I had to judge again. At 11:30, I judged a round of Duo Interpretation. That was a difficult round to decide. I ate lunch around 1:00 and my students wanted to go eat at 1:30. I took them out to eat and I had dessert (country apple pie a la mode). We made it back by 2:45 when they were posting breaks (students that are going on to the next rounds). One of my students made it so he's competing in rounds 7 and 8. My other student didn't make it, but will be competing in supplemental events tomorrow. I was supposed to judge at 3:30, but I couldn't because a student from my state was in the round. We were finished by 5:00 so we headed back to the hotel to change and then went to the zoo. The zoo was nice, but it was hot and it involved a lot of walking. We left the zoo around 8:30 and got a quick dinner. Now it's past my bed time.
I've been sporting a headache all day. I think it's because I didn't have any caffeine today. I also have a sore shin as I fell yesterday when walking into the middle school. I tripped on an entry way and fell forward. I scraped the top of my ankles and hit my shin. I also have a bruise on my arm because of my backpack that I was wearing.
Tomorrow is going to be an earlier day. We have to leave at 7:15. I have to be a stand-by judge in the morning at 8:30. After that, my judging assignment is finished, but I have to be at the school until 4:00. The other teacher I'm with is going to lunch with some friends of hers and I have to stay until she gets back. Sometime after that, I'm meeting Abbagirl for dinner.

Tonight will be laid back, fun, and relaxing. Kick your feet up and have some down time. It will be great. Sorry to hear about your bumps and bruises. I should have warned you about the zoo. How was it? It doesn't really compare to a lot of the zoos I have been to elsewhere. I guess it's okay. Hope you have a good day of judging!

Hang in there, friend. I did speech and debate in high school. Those competitions can be never-ending.
